Nuevas tecnologías en abierto para bibliotecas

El software libre está siendo tenido en cuenta en los entornos de bibliotecas como una alternativa
a las herramientas tecnológicas comerciales. En este artículo se muestran algunos tipos de herramientas usadas en bibliotecas y el software libre más común para ese uso. Además, de cada software se presentan ejemplos de casos reales en los que tienen implementada la herramienta y una variedad de bibliografía con reseñas de las diferentes herramientas presentadas en el artículo. El texto de este artículo está basado en el taller del mismo título presentado en las XV Jornadas Bibliotecarias Andaluzas (Córdoba, octubre 2009).

OPEN SOFTWARE FOR LIBRARIES
Abstract: Free software is being considered in the library environment as an alternative to commercial software applications. This paper discusses different types of tools used in libraries and the free software most commonly used for them. Furthermore, some real cases of tools already implemented are shown as well as a bibliography of the applications discussed. The text of this paper is based on the workshop that with the same title was presented at the 15th Andalusian Library Conference in Cordova, Spain, on October 2009.
